Henry Miller was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was an acclaimed American writer, who continues to be known for several works that reflect his own personal experiences. These books include titles, such as “Tropic of Cancer”, “Black Spring” and “The Rosy Crucifixion Trilogy”.
His explicit and quite often obscene writing led the way for a new generation of American writers.
Miller was known to frequently shock and offend his literary critics with his freedom of language and his ability to convey an honest truth. He was married five times and had a son and two daughters. Miller died of circulatory problems in Pacific Palisades,California.
