Danny Boyle

Danny Boyle is an English film director, producer, screenwriter and theatre director. Boyle is best known for his work on films such as “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Shallow Grave”.

Boyle won the Academy Award for Best Director for his 2008 film “Slumdog Millionaire”. In addition to that, he was presented with the Extraordinary Contribution to Film making Award at the 2008 Austin Film Festival.

Later, in 2012, he worked as the Artistic Director for “Isles of Wonder”. He was subsequently offered a knighthood, but declined, without mentioning why he decided to accept this honor.
