Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28th 1856 in Staunton, Virginia. He spent his youth in the South, as the son of a devout Presbyterian family, witnessing the ravages of the American Civil War and its aftermath. He earned several degrees before embarking on a University career. From a political perspective, he served two years as governor of New Jersey before becoming the two-term 28th president of the USA in 1912.
He negotiating the Versailles Treaty and crafted a League of Nations, the precursor organizations to the United Nations. He died on the 3rd of February 3 1924, three years after leaving office.
