William Wordsworth was born on April 7th 1770. He was an English Romantic poet who introduced the Romantic Age in English literature with Samuel Taylor Coleridge due to their 1798 joint publication “Lyrical Ballads”.
His most famous work is generally considered to be “The Prelude”. In fact, it is a semiautobiographical poem of his early years, which he revised and expanded a number of times. It was posthumously titled and published. However, this particular work of Wordsworth is still being referred to as "the poem to Coleridge". He died on the 23rd of April 1850.
