Rod Stewart was born on January 10th 1945 in London, England. He is one of the most famous British singer-songwriters of all time. Stewart is known for his signature raspy voice. He performed in several U.K. bands in the 60s. "Maggie May" became his first hit single in 1971, as a solo artist.
Stewart moved to the US in 1975. His most renowned hit songs include "Tonight’s the Night" and "Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?" Later on, Stewart experienced a career lull during the 80s. He only had a few hits in the 90s, but came back strong singing the classics in the 2000s. Rod Stewart won a Grammy Award for best traditional pop vocal album in 2004.
