Ice Cube is the stage name chosen by O’Shea Jackson. Ice Cube is an American hip hop artist and record producer. He began his career as a member of the hip-hop group C.I.A. and later joined Niggaz Wit Attitudes. In December 1989 he left the band in pursuit of a solo career in music.

He is regarded as a proficient lyricist and storyteller. Aside from that, he is also considered a brutally honest rapper; his lyrics are often political as well as violent. He was ranked 8th on MTV’s list of the 10 Greatest MCs of All Time.
