Charles Palahniuk is an acclaimed novelist and journalist, who refers to his work as transgressional fiction. Palahniuk came to fame as the author of the award-winning novel Fight Club. The novel was also was made into a feature film, starring Brad Pitt.
He stared writing fiction in his thirties. He told the press that he started writing while he was attending workshops that were hosted by Tom Spanbauer. The latter inspired his minimalistic writing style a particular writing style that sets Palahniuk aside from fellow novelists.
