Christopher Walken was born in New York. He first started to work in the theater when he was just a teenager. He came to fame with Woody Allen’s “Annie Hall” in 1977. A year later, in 1978 he won an Academy Award for his role in “The Deerhunter”. In 1991, Walken received his first Emmy Award nomination for his work on “Sarah,Plain and Tall”. Known to work constantly, he is appreciated for taking on all sorts of roles.
In 2010, Walken also had a series of appearances on Broadway in the comedy “A Behanding in Spokane”. When he is not working, Walken likes to stay at home in Wilton, Connecticut.
