Arthur Henderson was a British iron molder and, subsequently, a known Labor politician. Henderson was the first Labor Cabinet Minister. In 1934 he became a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. In addition to that, Henderson is famous for serving three terms as the Leader of the Labor Party.
He was very popular among his co-workers and colleagues. Most of them referred to him as “Uncle Arthur”. He was an important political figure and his policies were close to the Liberal Party. Henderson’s ultimate goal was to unify the Labor Party and the trades unions. He passed away on October 20th 1935.
