Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was born into an aristocratic family, being the grandson of the 7th Duke of Marlborough. He is considered one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th century. Churchill was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 (during World War II) and again from 1951 to 1955.
Churchill was also a British army officer, an artist, a writer, historian, Nobel Prize winner, and the 1st person to become an honorary United States citizen. Churchill became famous as a war correspondent and via his books detailing his war stories.
