Rick Perry was born on March 4th 1950 in Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1972 and started worked as a salesman, Air Force officer and cotton farmer. Perry was elected governor of Texas in 2000. He made history as the longest serving governor of the state.
He is married to Anita Thigpen, whom he had known since they were small children. The couple has two children – Griffin and Sydney. Perry has also authored two books: “On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts are Worth Fighting For” and “Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America from Washington”.
