James Thurber was one of the most popular American cartoonists and author of the 20th century. As an editor at the New Yorker, Thurber contributed his writings as well as sketches and drawings for over 20 years. His subjects were ordinary people and the frustrations in their lives as well as their eccentricities.
A large number of his short stories are humorous and are representative of different aspects and periods of his life. His best works include “The Dog That Bit People”, “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, “The Night the Bed Fell” and “The Greatest Man in the World.”
