Frederick Upton is the U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 6th congressional district, serving since 1987. He is a member of the Republican Party and former Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
The district stretches along the Michigan-Indiana border in the southwestern part of the state. If re-elected in 2018, he will become the dean of Michigan’s congressional delegation upon the retirement of Sander Levin.
