Frank Lloyd Wright was born on the 8th of June 1867 in Richland Center, Wisconsin. After graduating from college, Wright became chief assistant to architect Louis Sullivan. Afterwards, he then founded his own company and developed a style of his own. Nowadays, it is known as the Prairie school. Wright believed in an "organic architecture" and he focused on homes and commercial buildings. Over his career he created numerous iconic buildings.
Wright is seen by many as one of the greatest architects of the past century. Specialists consider him the greatest American architect of all time. He died on April 9th 1959.
