C. S. Lewis was born in Belfast Ireland. He first taught at Oxford University and subsequently became a famous apologist writer. Lewis is renowned for using logic and philosophy to support the tenets of his faith. However, he is most famous as the author of The Chronicles of Narnia a fantasy series. The books have been adapted into several films, both for the big and small screen.
A truly prolific writer, Lewis has written dozens of books throughout his life and career. In 1963, he resigned from his Cambridge position after experiencing some serious health problems. C. S. Lewis died in Headington, Oxford.
